Oliver Peyton launches Exit Here

Renowned restauranteur and judge on Great British Menu, Peyton has partnered with third generation funeral director, Barry Pritchard, to create a new modern funeral business set to shake up the sector, delivering greater choice and restoring trust in funeral services. At the heart of their offer is the opportunity for clients to take a more personalised approach to celebrating the lives of their loved ones.

Exit Here is opening its first funeral home in Chiswick and will initially cater to the South East region. Designed by Ben Masterton-Smith at Transit Studio, the space offers a modern, calm setting, with an emphasis on light and space that is the antithesis of traditional funeral homes.

At a time when British attitudes are starting to shift away from traditional forms of marking death, Exit Here offers a fresh, new approach with a focus on bringing trust back to funeral sector. Drawing on Oliver’s experience of the hospitality sector, and Barry’s extensive experience of the funeral industry, the business will offer a complete service – from orders of service, to bespoke caskets and catering. Whether a natural burial, a catered dinner, a celebration at a loved location or a service followed by tea and cakes, Exit Here aims to provide clients with greater choice to help them curate a unique celebration of life.

Exit Here have collaborated with some amazing partners to help their customers create a bespoke service, including:

  • Celebrated florist Nicky Tibbles, of Wild At Heart, providing flowers
  • Renowned Savile Row tailor, Richard James, providing suits
  • Other chef collaborations will be announced in due course

Oliver Peyton said: “At the heart of our approach is the belief the death of a loved one should be marked with a celebration, and be unique to the individual. We want to completely transform the way people approach celebrating the end of life”.

Barry Pritchard said “With my lifetime experience of the funeral sector and Oliver’s hospitality experience, we recognised the need to modernise the industry and restore trust. Together, we believe we can inject new life into the funeral business, offering choice and value and being a trusted partner to our clients”.
